VW Golf BlueMotion - Green Car of the Year
At the What Car? Green Car 2010 Awards in London, the VW Golf BlueMotion picked up the trophy for best Green Small Family Car and also wiped the floor with 8 other winners to claim the title of "Overall Green Car of the year".

The Golf is a worthy winner given it's environmental friendly accomplishments combined with outstanding quality, style and not to mension value for money. This eco road worrior evens out an amazing 74 miles to the gallon and since the co2 emissions are only 99g/km it's also excused from paying any road tax. With such magnificent green statics many would think the cars performance would not be upto scratch, but the Golf BlueMotion's 1.6 TDI diesel engine proves it can hold it's own against the majority.

With Volkswagen rolling out many more BlueMotion models we can expect to see them picking up many more awards in the not so distant future.

Touran gets a make over
Volkswagen have unveiled the all new Touran with refreshed styling inspirated by the Golf and a fantastic new engine line up. The new engines comprising of 2 petrol and 2 diesel have been designed with superior performance in mind, not to mension outstanding fuel efficiency with the BlueMotion Technology providing 61.4 miles per gallon combined!

VW have also packed the new Touran full of the latest technology including the very clever ParkAssit, which basically means this car can almost parallel park by itself. The price of the new Touran range has not been released but if it follows the Volkswagen trend it will be sensibly priced when it hits the dealerships in October.
